Making a Difference & Doing Good

One of the things I am most passionate about is community service. I love to help people and make a difference. I never realized how much I loved it until I became Vice President of my school's Key Club. I loved going out every weekend and volunteering and it became one of my main interests and focuses in life. I also loved leading people and getting people excited about helping those in need. I think community service can be so versatile, because there are so many different places and ways you can volunteer. You can devote time, donate resources, or lend support. Any way you help makes an impact on people's lives. I suggest all of you to try  and go out and volunteer somewhere or join a service club at your school. It's a great thing to do with your friends and family, while helping those who are less fortunate. Some of my favorite places to volunteer are the nursing home, a local place that prepares meals for those in need, and I love doing things for the teachers in my school. You may not want to do it all the time, but when you do find the time to go out there you will realize you unlocked a new key to your heart. This key opens up a new part of your heart and you will feel a type of love you have never felt before. So next time you are wondering what to do consider volunteering at any place that inspires you.
If you are not sure where to volunteer near you check out volunteermatch.org. It is a great website to define your interests and help you find places to assist that match your interests.
