Bachelorette: My Top 3 Guys and My Favorite Things about Kaitlin

There is not going to be a Bachelorette Recap today as I am out of town and have all my posts pre-scheduled, so I can just enjoy the week with my family. But I will include a few thoughts at the beginning of next weeks recap. If you want to read my past recaps, you can read them here: first episodethird episodefourth episodefifth episodesixth episode. I will be sharing my top 3 guys and my top 5 things about Kaitlin for my post today!

My Top 3 Guys
1) Ben H: I love Ben, because I think that that he is so sweet and genuine. He seems to be building a really great connection with Kaitlin as well. Plus he's super cute!
2) Shawn B: Obviously everyone who reads these recaps knows my love for Shawn. There is no denying Kaitlin and his connection, but something about him seems too good to be true.
3) Chris: I love cupcake. I think he seems to be really fun and nice, but I'm not sure he has the greatest connection with Kaitlin. I think his time on the show is coming to an end, which is very sad for me.

My Top 5 Favorite Things About Kaitlin
I see a lot of people hating on Kailtin and her decisions, so I wanted to say some of my favorite things about her to spread some encouragement and some happiness toward her.
1) She does what she wants: She doesn't care what other people think about her. She follows her heart and I applaud her for that, because sometimes that's hard to do when you are on T.V.
2) She's hilarious: She is not afraid to do funny things and laugh at herself. Also, she pushes the guys outside of their comfort zones, which makes for really fun T.V.
3) She's emotional, but not too emotional: I think this is important, because in the show you can tell she has feelings, but she doesn't spew them all over the show. You really get to see the great connections she is making, but there is no constant crying.
4) She's fun: She goes on these fun dates and she just focuses on having a really great time. She doesn't focus too much on the relationship, but just lets that flow as she has fun with the guys.
5) Her Canadian accent: Something about Kaitlin's subtle accent I really like. I think it just adds to her overall charm.

I hope you enjoyed this post and next week I will be back to my typical recaps!

Tips for Reading More this Summer

I love spending my summer reading, so I thought it would be fitting for me to share my reading tips and some of my favorite fun summer books.

1) Use GoodReads: This website allows you to track what you have read, what you are currently reading, and what you want to read in the future. It also allows you to connect with your friends, so that they can keep you motivated.
2) Get Books from the Library: It is so much easier to read lots of books when you don't have to pay for them. Books today cost around $8-$12 dollars each and that can quickly add up. Your local library most likely has all the books you want to read and for free!
3) Find a Comfortable Place to Read: On the couch, in your bed, or outside find where you are most comfortable and read there. It will make you able to concentrate and focus on the book more and it's a great way to just relax and unwind.
4) Get Books that Match your Interests: I like books about history and also I love young adult romance books(like the top 5 down below). Those are my interests, so I read books that relate to that. If you like science or cooking read books related to that. Don't just read bestsellers because you feel like that's the right thing to do; really read what you are interested in or you won't end up reading at all.
5) Make it Fun: Get a friend that also wants to read and read the same books. It will be fun, because you can discuss them together. Investigate the characters and the author, really dig into the fun parts of the novel. Also, read fun books; don't read anything that you would read in school(unless it is required or that's your interest).
6) Don't Make it a Requirement: Read when you have time. Don't set a requirement for how much you are going to read each day. When you want to relax or you have some down time read then, you'll be surprised at how often you get sucked into a book and read for hours without stopping.
7) Don't be Afraid to Curl Up and Read a Whole Book: There will be some days when you just can't stop reading a book. Just keep reading it; don't worry about a day wasted reading it is very needed sometimes, especially during the summer when you are out doing things everyday.

Bachelorette Season 11, Episode 7 Weekly Recap

I'm so excited to be doing my first ever series of Bachelorette Recaps! This show is my guilty pleasure and I love writing and talking about it, but I also really love reading spoilers. I just wanted to provide a quick disclaimer that I have read spoilers and will be writing this from the spoiled perspective. If you want to read spoilers so you can relate more to this post you can click here.

If you like this recap, you can read all of my other recaps: first episodethird episodefourth episodefifth episode, sixth episodeThough I know what happens in rose ceremonies and the ending, the funny and dramatic things that occur within the episodes make it worth watching. I'm excited, because this season seems to be full of drama. I think choosing Kaitlin as Bachelorette was a good idea, though she could end up as the girl version of Juan Pablo.

San Antonio Cocktail Party and Rose Ceremony:

The show comes back on and instantly we are back to Ian drama. Ian has decided he needs to be completely honest with Kaitlin. Don't be honest with Kaitlin just simply tell her what she wants to hear. Ian is beginning to self implode. As mean as some of his statements are, there may be some truth in this statement. I'm starting to believe that Kaitlin really only is here to have someone plow her field. Kaitlin is kind of surface and really focuses on the physical part of the relationship. Bye Bye Ian don't ever question Kaitlin. Even Princeton is ashamed of you right now. Ian just wanted to go out with a bang, he could have simply went home at a rose ceremony peacefully. Ian let me tell you now that there is no way you will be the bachelor, because you are a jerk. No one likes you. Now Kaitlin sits all sobby on the couch, scared that someone revealed the truth. But now Nick is back to the rescue. Nick is really getting the good guy edit before he goes down hill very quickly. Nick is a smooth talker and I have trouble telling if he's sincere or full of poop. Who am I kidding I know Nick is full of poop. All the guys are getting angry at Nick again, shocker is this going to be a weekly thing. Ew nick just bit her finger, what the heck, what even am I watching. Shawn walks in on Nick making out with Kaitlin and that makes him feel very confident about himself as Nick and her continue to talk for over 20 minutes. Shawn gets so jealous about all they other guys, why'd he go on this show doesn't he know how it works of course she has connections with other guys. But something about his jealousy is charming. Kaitlin again emphasizes the importance of intimacy, foreshadowing much?

Luckily for the guys, it is not near as cold here at the Texas Alamo. All the guys I care about already got roses. Ben Z. is very worried he won't get a rose, but of course he will. J.J. always gets a rose early, but we never see them together is there something there that this show isn't telling us or does he just have a cool name. Why is Tanner even still on this show. At the rose ceremony Justin and Joshua are eliminated. I wish Joshua would shut up about nick and he would probably stay on the show. They are headed to Ireland. I have heard a million times on this show that Ireland is the best place to fall in love, but why Ireland of all places?? Chris, the cheesy cupcake, coming in with the Irish analogy. No one is shocked by that. Here begins a crazy week in Ireland.

Nicks 1 on 1 Date:
Kaitlin comes to get Nick and he is wearing way too tight pants. The date is honestly just in a park and of course Kaitlin's fear of birds comes back to haunt her. They start dancing some cliche Irish jig, but more importantly they are kissing everywhere. He also keeps sticking his hand in her shirt, which is just really awkward. Wow Kaitlin is eating up his words. They need to chill it with the kissing good lord. This whole date just makes me really uncomfortable. After a day of adventuring, they go to a fancy dinner. they keep saying it was a great day, but that's because they spent it doing nothing but kissing. I think this is what Ashley S. was talking about when she said lust or love. Nick was a bit to excited when she said she wanted to go to her room, especially after what he said to Andi. Kaitlin takes him to her room and eww please stop Kaitlin. Kaitlin and Nick sleep together. Like what is this show even becoming, it's obviously not focused on the romance. Kaitlin dropped her panties real quick when Nick became involved. Nick is then forced to partake in the walk of shame, while Kaitlin cries in regret over her balcony. I hated everything about this date. It's funny how much remorse she has for something she so quickly did.

At the Hotel With the Guys:
-The date card comes and there is a group date. After those guys are revealed, we discover that there will be a 2 on 1 with J.J. and Joe. This gets hardly emphasized and isn't even shown this episode! J.J.'s way to overconfident about the 2 on 1 leaving me to see how he may have a greater connection with Kaitlin. Shawn and Jared are having a conversation in the house, while Kaitlin's on her  date with Nicj. Shawn's so jealous about Kaitlin it is crazy. I wish he could see Kaitlin now and discover about her and Nick. Nick has no good intentions and all the guys are making that clear.

Group Date- Irish Wake:
This date revolves around Kaitlin being dead and all the guys writing eulogies. Chris Harrison gets some screen time, which is a big shock. Tanner had the cutest toast to Kaitlin and I wish I could get to know him. Cupcake starts singing and you can tell he's a giant cheese ball. Ben H. had a kind of weird toast pertaining to birds. Shawn's toast is hilarious and he says she took her own life, because she had to spend all day with Nick and he wold do the same. It also was a subtle jab at Nick in a hidden way. Ben Z. asks everyone to leave for his toast. He is all serious, because he has been through it before with his mom. It really seems to be very tough for him and I applaud him for doing it. He explains to Kaitlin that this whole process has led to self discovery for him. You can see that Ben Z. is a giant softy. I'm pretty sure that she like Jared because he makes her laugh and that is the only reason. Shawn is putting his guard up, but he is beginning to focus on Kaitlin and not Nick, and he shows her pictures of his family. The rose goes to Jared. Shawn is instantly jealous, but honestly if you get every rose Shawn we will not have a show. So Shawn man up and realize that it's not the end of the world that she gave it to Jared. Shawn a rose doesn't describe her love to you. Jared and her get some one on one time and go dancing in a church with a live band. Ben Z. speaks the truth about horrible it truly feels that Jared got the rose. But what we get a major curve ball that Kaitlin came to Shawn's room and told him he was it, he was the winner, so why is he so self conscious. But then later why is Shawn confiding in a producer of all people. We end the episode with Shawn about to confront Kaitlin.

Britt and Brady:
We get a very little bit of Britt and Brady at the ending credits of the show. Brady meets Britt's mom. Her mom seems to view them as only friends. I'm not sure what this clip was supposed to show or mean.

Bachelor Producers you are killing me with this to be continued. We didn't even get all of the dates in this weeks episode, like we spent two hours on only 2 dates and a rose ceremony from last week. Plus I'm also annoyed with Nick and all this Shawn drama. It is like the same things over and over again and it's getting boring, but don't worry I will not stop watching.

Passion in your Eyes

I love discovering someone's passions and learning about it whole heartedly. I love discovering my own passions. I love that moment where you can honestly see the look in the eye of the person across from you and know it's filled with nothing but love and admiration for their subject. They could go on and on about it for days with no reservations at all. It's amazing. This characteristic is the key indicator for finally knowing that you found something that you love. People will notice it; they will always notice it, because it becomes the most beautiful part of the person. You will see love pour out of their eyes straight from their soul. It's powerful and incredible. It makes you realize how much of a difference people are capable of making. Passion is power and if people use this power to their greatest advantage, it's amazing what can come from it. Don't ever hold your passions back; let them pour out of you like a water fall. Tell everyone about it, because you never know who that person is and where they can help you go with it. Passions will lead you to a happy future.

An update for Friday posts, I don't think these quote posts are my strongest, most helpful, or relatable posts and they don't exactly fit my interests. I still love quotes, but instead of this full on quote post where I write this whole explanation I will just put a picture of my favorite quote on my inspiration page every Friday. Then on Fridays for my main post I will post either a lifestyle, fashion, tips and tricks, or maybe even a video post, whatever I feel is fitting for that week. It will give me more freedom for my blog.

Another suprise this week is that I will have 2 bonus posts on Saturday and Sunday! So come back on those days for some fun posts.

Tips for Keeping your Desk Top Organized

I love organizing and today I wanted to show you how I organize my desk top. I did a post on how I organized my drawers, but I wanted to show you the rest of my desk. I'll show you some tips on effectively using your desk and also one of my favorite things on my computer!
Here's an overview of my desk.

My desk is from Amazon.

I keep my desk very simple and clean.

Tip #1: Use a bulletin board. This will help you keep clutter off your desk and you can also put your favorite memories and inspiration to keep you inspired. My bulletin board is from Home Goods, but I changed the ribbon color to match my room.

Tip #2: Organize your papers. School papers, receipts, and certificates can over take your desk. You can prevent this from happening by getting one of these acrylic organizers from Amazon. All of your papers will be easy to find and it will save you tons of space on your desk. Plus if you add some bright colored folders it is really fun accent.

Tip #3: These super cute pencil cups help separate pens, pencils, and other supplies. These keep things organized and off of your desk! I made my cups with paint, sparkles, and mason jars from Hobby Lobby, but you could buy similar ones on Etsy.

Tip #4: Have a big dry erase calendar on my desk. It works well for overall organization of events in your life. It allows you to look at big events you have throughout the month and when they are. It helps keep you motivated to get things done. You can find a similar calendar on Amazon.

Tip #5: Keep a note pad on your desk. Whenever inspiration hits or you think of something you need to do you can write it down so you stay organized and inspired. This will keep you from forgetting things!

Tip #6: I use Evernote to organize any notes that I have. It helps keep them easily organized and you can access them on your computer or your phone. I plan my blog schedule and it has lots of very cool features to keep you organized.

Tip #7: Keep the clutter away. If you keep your desk clean and organized, you will be more likely to work there and be more productive there. Make your desk an inspirational place to work!
