Bachelorette Season 11, Episode 10 Weekly Recap

I'm so excited to be doing my first ever series of Bachelorette Recaps! This show is my guilty pleasure and I love writing and talking about it, but I also really love reading spoilers. I just wanted to provide a quick disclaimer that I have read spoilers and will be writing this from the spoiled perspective. If you want to read spoilers so you can relate more to this post you can click here.

If you like this recap, you can read all of my other recaps and Bachelorette themed posts: first episodethird episodefourth episodefifth episode, sixth episode, seventh episode, My Top 3, Bachelor in Paradise OpinionsThough I know what happens in rose ceremonies and the ending, the funny and dramatic things that occur within the episodes make it worth watching. I'm excited, because this season seems to be full of drama. I think choosing Kaitlyn as Bachelorette was a good idea, though she could end up as the girl version of Juan Pablo.

Shawn Confronts Nick
The episode begins showing Shawn confronting Nick. I really just want something to really happen between Shawn and Nick instead of them just saying insults at one another and getting angry. Like have an actual fight and just stop with all these dumb teasers. It makes me really think that Nick is only here looking for the limelight. Of course they end in an uproar on bad terms per the usual.

Ben's Overnight Date
Now it's time for Ben's date and  he is just so sweet. They go on a very cute horse backing date, and Kaitlyn says she's a country girl, like what? Kaitlyn is not at all a country girl. I love how dorky and cute he is, everything he does is so precious. Then they feed donkeys and get chased by them. It is such a random thing, but it is followed by a very cute picnic by a castle. At this picnic, Ben admits that he is falling in love, but he's being acting cautious and trying to be sure she's the one, so his heart doesn't get too broken. Then they get to eat dinner in a castle, which is so magnificent and beautiful. Everything Ben says is so articulate and great and he is so wonderful and sweet. Then all of a sudden they begin talking about their awkward age difference and how Ben had a Birthday on the show, which really stinks, because he didn't get to be with anyone he cares about. Ben's wearing a weird sweater and looks like he should be in an Ireland ad, something about this date just seems a bit off. You can tell that Ben is trying to cherish things and move slow, but Kaitlyn doesn't equally value the physical aspects of a relationship. Everything Ben says is perfectly said and he is more articulate than shawn and nick combined. But yet he has this nerdy side where he says something like "best sleepover ever", which is just so cute and different for this show. Kaitlyn says she is falling in love, but it's not quite convincing. She talks about how she's so unsure of what to do and doesn't want to say goodbye to him, but it seems like she's kind of acting.

Shawn's Overnight Date
Shawn gets a golf date and Kaitlyn seems really excited to see him. He says that he loves Kaitlyn in the golf outfit, because a golfer is wife material, since when that is so random. Then they start to play and Shawn of course says that Kaitlyn won to be a nice gentleman. They then decide to play truth or dare and Shawn has to strip and run across the golf course.  Kaitlyn decides to steal his clothes and that's when we get the scene of him running that we saw in the season preview. Very, very tricky bachelor editing people. Later they go to a nice dinner and Kaitlyn admires how they had such a normal day, but was it really? They had cameras, microphones, and producers everywhere. She then asks Shawn about his dual with Nick and he gets really fired up. Shawn says that he went and talked to Nick and Kaitlyn got excited, but she later finds out that what he told Nick was not very nice. She tells him about what Nick said about him and now he's steaming, so without hesitation they go to fantasy suite without even talking about it in an effort to make everything better. They just ignore the problems some more like always.

Nick Confronts Shawn
Shawn leaves his overnight date and Nick is waiting for him outside of his house. Nick says he wants to talk man to man, but it seems that Nick is not a man, but instead is a little wimp. Shawn's getting all fired up yet again and he's so annoyed he won't even listen to what Nick is saying. All I can think is that Nick is trying to save face and not look like a villain yet again.

Rose Ceremony
We see Chris Harrison now and they sit down for a chat that reveals absolutely nothing at all. Kaitlyn talks about her concerns that Nick is not a long term guy, but news flash Nick is not a long term or short term guy. You can tell Ben is perfect and has all the qualities, but he's no edgy enough for Kaitlyn, so he'll never be the winner. Kaitlyn is about to send one of her final three home at the rose ceremony, but she got so mad when Chris did that to her.  The first rose goes to Nick and then the final rose goes to Shawn and of course Ben is sent home. I'm officially launching my #BenHforBachelor campaign. I think he would make the absolute best Bachelor. Now as Kaitlin walks Ben out she leaves Shawn and Nick in the room and it's time for the third Nick and Shawn showdown of THIS episode. They are both awkwardly in the room, saying nothing to one another.

Nick's Family Date
It's time to meet Nick's family; it is like deja vu from last season. Nick says that he is so much more confident this time and he has no questions or reservations about being with Kaitlyn. He says it's much different than last season with Andi. Nick says he loves her, but his mom is really concerned that he will be blind sided like he was last season, which spoiler alert he will be. Obviously the whole family seems to approve of her and like her; it's not like they are going to bash her on national television. Bella is super cute again and asks Kaitlyn if she loves Nick. she beats around the bush when answering as she has too, but I think its apparent she wants to choose Shawn. Bella says she can relate to Kaitlyn, which is probably because Kaitlyn acts like a teen. Kaitlyn tells every member of the family about how good the conversation is, but I highly doubt that is the reason she likes him. It's obviously the physical attraction. Nick than starts crying, because he is so confident in their connection. Lol but Nick do you remember last season. Then they go back to Kaitlyn's room AGAIN.

Shawn's Family Date
Shawn's family date pretty much revolves around editing by the producers to make it look like it is not Shawn, when it really is. Kaitlyn is so giddy when she gets ready to meet Shawn's family. She was so nervous for Nick's, but she looks so confident walking in to meet Shawn's family. You can really begin to see the different levels of excitement. His family is really easy on her for the most part and they really love her and see her fitting into their family. I would say she passed the test with flying colors. Except for Shawn's dad, who seems like the biggest skeptic, but once he talks to Shawn he's okay with it and he sees how much he loves her. Shawn after they leave his family tells Kaitlyn that he is in love with her, which she is so happy about.
