5 College Fashion Essentials

Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share my college fashion essentials. When I was getting ready to head off to college, I had no idea what clothes I would want to wear. As a result, I ended up bringing way too much of my wardrobe to college just in case. I realized while day to day I still was wearing my favorite preppy pieces, my essentials were much more classic.

Gigi Pants: We all know leggings are great but in my opinion, J.Crew Factory Gigi Pants are even better. They are just as comfortable as leggings, except they are thicker and slightly resemble real pants. Throw them on with a blouse and some flats and you will look so cute while still being comfortable! Perfect for so many occasions in college, trust me.
T-Shirt: In college, there are so man-days when I just throw on a tee with a necklace and some Gigi Pants. It is so cute but also super comfy! Gray is definitely my favorite color tee to wear, but I definitely recommend stocking up on some of your favorite colors before heading off to college.
Converse: I never owned converse before I went to college because they aren't really my style. But they are really great comfortable shoes for walking around campus and they are also great for going out in college. As hard as you try I doubt you'll be able to resist buying a pair at some point in your college career.
Stripe Dress: The J.Crew daybreak dresses are perfect for college because they can be casual but also interview/work appropriate. Wear it to a lunch with your friends and add some cute sandals or add a blazer or a cardigan and some flats and head off to work. I love how versatile it is for your most likely tiny college closet.
Jean Jacket: I LOVE my jean jacket. Wear it with some black pants and a tee or a fun dress, it's the perfect addition to any outfit. It's great for transitioning between the warm outside and the cool buildings as you run from class to class or to meetings.

This is a typical outfit for me in college, which I have worn more times than I can count. If you are in college, share some of your fashion essentials in the comments, I'd love to hear them!
