A Winter Whirlwind

What a past two weeks it has been, I ended my time at home for winter break and headed back to school for recruitment and finally was greeted by a snow day on the first day of class. Getting packed up to go back to school was the real struggle because I brought entirely too much stuff home and also had so much for my future little. And right upon arriving back at school and getting started unpacking I was quickly thrown into recruitment.

I've shared a little bit on my blog but I was very involved with recruitment this year and as a result, I put in hours upon hours before and during recruitment. I was the decorations chair so I spent almost every night blowing up balloons and getting other decorations packed up and ready. I was also set-up/take-down chair which involved carrying tables, chairs, balloons, and much more to and from my car. Finally, I served on the recruitment board which was a great learning experience about all the nitty gritty recruitment details. Overall, I had a blast doing it and seeing all the hard work pay off on bid day made it all so worth it. Even the 6 AM wake-ups, the 1 AM bedtimes, the stressful conversations and so many trips to party city. But more than anything I can't wait to do it all again and more next year as recruitment director.

After a week of recruitment, school was set to begin on Wednesday. But I woke up that morning to a winter wonderland and an email that school was canceled. I had no complaints as I much appreciated the day off and I used it to get organized for school, hang out with our new members, and take these super fun snow pictures. Thursday we started back to school and I had a great first week and weekend back. But this week I am so looking forward to finally getting back into a routine.
